Charlie Sheen inspires a drug addict and womanizer character in a TV serie

Charlie Sheen is a North American actor, more known because his sensationalistic life than for his film career. During the last years he has been the protagonist of several scandals, most of them related to drugs, alcohol and his crazy addiction to women.

The US serie ‘’Law and Order’’ has decided that this particular actor contributes with enough ideas as to imagine a new character for his 10^th season who will be a fashion designer with problems to reconcile his professional success with his privet life which is – as Ian Dury would say- sex, drugs and rock and roll.

Jay Mohr will play Nyle Brite, the billionaire egomaniac and womanizer, with special weakness for cocaine and wild party.

This serie is characterized above all for turn to quotidian phenomenon as a source of inspiration, tactic whose producer Dick Wolf is a faithful lover.

We cannot wait to the next episode of Law and Order, which we are sure won’t disappoint us! In the best of the cases, Sheen’s stormy life has been able to be the inspiration of a successful TV serie with world fame.

The excessive retouching of Kate Winslet’s photo leads to a debate of the manipulation of images on advertising

 

As we all know, the image manipulation and its makeover with Photoshop in advertising campaigns, especially in cosmetic ones, are a constant in our current society. In the century of the maximum peak of the esthetic surgeon it is too difficult to find a natural and non-manipulated image.

The idea of beauty that the majority of advertisements send is an eternal young one, without wrinkles, without any spot, scar or whatever, the main purpose is to get as close to perfection as Photoshop allows. But this fact has originated a huge controversy about the unreachable beauty that women are supposed to achieve and the unrealism that give off most of advertisements.

The barefaced and excessive retouching that has suffered Kate Winslet’s photo for Lâncome has been the straw that breaks the camels back. It does not mean that a lot of public icons had suffered or enjoyed (it depends on your point of view) Photoshop retouches. Totally the opposite! In fact, I can mention a handful of them: Britney Spears in Circus CD’s cover, Kate Moss in Chanel nº5 ad, Lindsay Lohan in her interview with People magazine, all Victoria’s Secret models, etc.  Each time more and more women are complaining that they are been imposed a sort of beauty unattainable and that is being transmitted a frivolous esthetic canons settle on the superficiality.

As a result of this reaction that popular, several cosmetic brands have recently launched new advertising campaigns which rest on the naturally and self-confidence of a woman. An example would be the brand ‘’Dove’’ which now extols the curves of the feminine body, showing it to the camera without any kind of retouching. Another cosmetic brand, Make Up Forever, adds to this movement and launches a campaign whose photos did not suffered any manipulation.

It is curious to see how esthetic canons are in continuous change….

The celebs also loose their cool

Celebs are constantly in the spotlight and in the public eye. Everyone wants a piece of them.

A good example of a famous actress who has lost her cool is Lindsay Lohan, she has been the subject of a criminal battery investigation. The troubled actress allegedly lashed out at a member of staff at the Betty Ford Center - where she is currently living in a sober house as part of her court-ordered rehabilitation programme - after she and her roommates arrived home late on December 12. A Palm Desert Police spokesperson confirmed to website Gossip Cop that the unnamed worker 'desired prosecution'. It had been reported staff were called to the building after its occupants threw an alcohol-fuelled party, though Lindsay's father Michael has insisted she was not involved and passed drug and alcohol tests afterwards.

However, Lohan is not the unique celebritie who has lost his mind and in consecuence of that has gotten into serious trobule. If I check out the celebs who've been misbehaving and losing their cool lately, it includes Olsen twins, Kate Moss, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, among others. In fact all of them have gotten into trouble.

Lady Gaga is within hours of becoming the first living person to achieve 10 million Facebook fans, or 10 million followers of any sort across the social networks. Since 2008, after her rekease of the fame, she has been unstoppable across all mediums ever since. The LGG's succes has improved meteoric rise to social networking. In fact, there are only five people or entites that have more than 10 million Facebook fans, and none of them are living. They include the late King of Pop Michael Jackson. Thus, Gaga joins an extremely elite group of cyber superstars. She continues to be the fastes growing Facebook star and has quickly passed her rivals on the way to the top spot despie spirited challenges from the likes of Vin Diesel, Megan Fox and the President of United States Barack Obama. Caring Kim Kardashian

The socialite Kim Kardashian, famous for her TV show, announced on her Twitter that she would auction off herself for 24 hours in New York, giving all the money to reconstruct Japan.

So, you know now, all of you who dreamt about meeting this American sex-symbol, who was born in California 30 years ago. You have no excuse, because it is for a goo cause, she will donate the money to UNICEF.

However, we may ask if this bothers his actual boyfriend and NBA player Kris Humphries, who plays for the Nets of New Jersey. Apparently he is fine about the caring part of his controverted girlfriend (best known for her intimate videos than for another thing). Although we announce she is like Paris, her friend: expert on doing a little bit of everything a lot of nothing. For this reason she is a singer, model, TV presenter, despite being one of the most demanded “cover girls” all over the world. It has been also said about her that she leads a new esthetic of sensuality, with a natural body and not skinny to death like until now, when the models seem to fall dead from one moment to another in the catwalk.

Lady Gaga celebrates her birthday

Hey! Today we will talk about Gaga! I know you love her… J

Lady Gaga got a very happy birthday with a very special present: she sang for more than 20,000 people in Los Angeles to celebrate her 25^th birthday. Not only she was able to do what she likes in her important day, but she reached the 9 million followers on Twitter, achieving a record and passing Britney Spears.

She also got a surprise party in a Mexican restaurant with close friends and family. They had hired some “marciachis” (traditional Mexican song style) to sing their own version of “Born this Way” the last single of the controverted star.

On both celebrations there was also a sensitive moment: first when all her dancers gaver her a cake and the entire audience started singing Happy Birthday. Some of the people that was there assure she cried. The second, when she was hearing the mariachis playing her song she didn’t hesitate and started singing with them, thing the crowd didn’t expect.

In the end, we want to congratulate Gaga for her 25^th birthday from patianabea and for having 9 million followers on Twitter, which means that, although her eccentricities, people still love what she does and supports her in that special day.

Celebrities cry the disappearance of Elizabeth Taylor

This ‘last queen of the cinema’ has been a legend and inspiration for young actresses since the cinema is cinema. She sadly disappeared last march 23 in Los Angeles, and this has caused a huge revolution among the famous people. She had been sad since her best friend Michael Jackson had died in 2009, and one of her last wishes was being buried next to him. Finally she was buried in the Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park, next to her parents, in an intimate ceremony with more or less 40 people.

Lots of celebrities have pronounced themselves about the big loss that implies the death of this myth. All are love and friendly words towards the actress, and some of them have even posted on Twitter their little contribution to the last goodbye of Elizabeth Taylor.

Janet Jackson sent condolences to Elizabeth’s family, since her brother Michael was one of her closest friends, and she always fought to defend him from all the critiques he received.

Lance Amstrong: career and life on Twitter

Lance Amstrong is a good example of one of these public personalities that has reached a good equilibrium between private life and his public life. He is a cyclist and has won for seven times the Tour de France. His main issue is that he suffered cancer and later achieved his seven “Tours”.

Nowadays he doesn’t cycle anymore, but he is much focused on his campaign “Livestrong”, which is an organization that fights in order of improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

The point is that there we find a new use of Twitter: the promotion of good causes of his organization, plus his personal comments about his daily life, but not too much close. He takes the appropriate distance so it doesn’t look too formal neither too close, like the case of Demi and Ashton. In my opinion Lance uses his Twitter, one of the most visited in 2009, says Forbes Magazine to make his cause known by a lot of people.

He doesn’t say much about his personal issues, the only thing we know about him is that he was with the singer Sheryl Crow, and now he is with Anna Hansen, and has 4 children in total.

To conclude, Lance is a real example of personal overcoming, and this is the cause of his success in cyclism and his personal causes.

Lately more and more soccer players are joining the trend to publish their experiences on social networks.

Leaving behind the media frenzy caused by the recent official relationship between the FCB player, Gerard Piqué and the Colombian singer Shakira, more and more players decide to share their experiences through social networks. Andrés Iniesta and Carles Puyol are two good examples. The two players of FC Barcelona don’t hesitate to use Facebook and Twitter to keep their fans informed.

In my opinion, I think that’s a good way to keep their fans up to date and also to keep in touch with them. However, I must admit that although sometimes they post interesting information, feelings or comments about their profession, other times their status describes irrelevant nonsense. Nevertheless many people must find these posts entertaining since they comment and follow them daily.

On the other hand, I have to say that not just the players mentioned above, but some of the most famous artists also post this kind of information. The high number of tabloids on the market comes to prove that the majority of us are interested in gossip and rumours.
This is so because we like to know everything about everyone and to be fully and constantly updated. This is human nature.

There are so many good causes and projects around the world to get involved in

Although some celebrities use social networks to post ridiculous information e.g., Ashton Kutcher), there are also tons of people, both famous and not, who tweet about lots of interesting things. Celebrities and famous people in general are always in the spotlight, in the public eye. So I think famous poeple should use Facebook, Twitter and the other social networks to attract interest in to get people donate money for good and noble causes.

That's why, Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Usher and 50 Cent are facing industry calls to give back the money they earned performing at lavish parties thrown by family members of Libyan dictator Muammar el-Qaddafi. Carey accepted $1 million to perform for Qaddafi’s son, Muatassim, Libya’s national-security adviser, at a lavish New Year’s Eve party on the Caribbean island of St. Barts in 2008; Beyoncé and Usher performed for an undisclosed sum on the island the following year. 50 Cent gave a performance before Muatassim at a 2005 film festival in Venice. Managers for Usher, 50 Cent and Carey declined comment, and Beyoncé’s management, run by her father, Mathew Knowles, did not return phone calls.

Now, if they want to donate that money to a good cause, particularly one aiding the people of Libya, it would be commendable. But keeping the money wouldn’t make them bad people. If it were me, it would go to charity.

Do Social Networks bring the end of privacy?

Twitter is getting more popular at the moment and grabbing the headlines all over the place.

Over the last couple of days we’ve had the “scandal" whereby Britney Spears, Barack Obama, Ashton Kutcher and other high profile people’s Twitter accounts were hacked.

So I thought it would be useful to build a resource of real celebs that use Twitter. A couple of disclaimers first; to the best of my knowledge almost all of the celebs are the real deal. Secondly, some celebs use Twitter for a bit of laugh like the rest of us and update their Tweets personally.

Then on the other hand you have people like Britney Spears who’s’ Twitter account is used by her “people” as a PR machine and is therefore quite dull. Richard Branson’s Twitter account is much of the same. Their posts are usually really boring. Take the case of Demi Moore, for example, who posts about what she has for dinner.

Nevertheless, I’m not criticizing at all that kind of people just because they twit about those irrelevant things in their profiles. In fact, everybody has the freedom of expression to post what they want. However, in my opinion, I think everyone has to be careful about what they post on the social networks, there should be more privacy.

Spotted: Shakira and Piqué on Twitter and Facebook!!!

Shakira uploads today a photo of Piqué and her on Facebook and Twitter!!

It is known by everybody the relationship which attracts most of the mass media, the one starred by the Colombian singer Shakira and the football player Piqué.

It is believed that they began to hang out together in the early July but it was not officially confirmed till February when Gerard Piqué uploaded a photo of them in a very affectionate attitude on a birthday celebration. Since then, they have received a lot of media attention and they gave them plenty to talk about. It appears to be love time to Spanish footballers, the relationship between the reporter Sara Carbonero and the R.Madrid footballer Iker Casillas has also been one of the most talked issues by the media.

Malicious rumors spread that she is only dating him to forget her last eleven-year relationship with Antonio de la Rua. He cheated on her along six years while they were still together and finally gave up her for ‘’the other’’. Because of this, Shakira was deeply depressed and wounded and it seems she looked for support and shelter in the Spanish footballer.

On the photo caption Shakira wrote: ‘’Les presento a mi sol’’ whose meaning is closer to: ‘’I show you my dear’’. It is the first time that the Colombian singer publishes a photo of them together, she has not even talked about them in public. Contrary to his boyfriend who, as I have said, published a photo of them on a celebration.

The magazine called ‘’HOLA’’ has also enjoyed the privilege to take a photo of them holding their hands leaving a restaurant.

Nowadays their relationship is completely official and despite most of the girls will kill to be on Shakira’s skin the only thing I can say is… Be patient!! In this celebrity world sooner or later they will end up and there will be us to make a favor to Pique and comfort him in our arms!!

Spanish actress gets a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame!!

It seems that this year is smiling Penelope Cruz, her life could not go better. After his marriage with the Spanish actor Javier Bardem and having his first son, Leo, she is going to receive the 2.436 star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood. She is the first Spanish actress honored with that privilege and we have to recognize that she clearly deserves it. She has made an astonishing film career, in fact she was given an Oscar because of her performance in ‘’Vicky Cristina Barcelona’’.

Penelope will be helped to reveal the commemorative plaque by the film director Rob Marshall who is now working on the last film of ''Pirates of the Caribbean'' called  ''On Stranger Tides'', it will be on the movies since next May 20th. In this film our spanish actress will play the Blackbeard's daughter, Angelina Teach, who will have a little affaire with ''Captain Jack Sparrow'' (Jonhy Deep).

The plaque will be emplaced just in front of the ‘’El Capitan Threatre’’ which is one of the most visited and significant buildings of the Walk of Fame, enjoying a very outstanding position on this avenue.

Rihanna proclaims she likes to be hit and tied up in bed

Rihanna is the protagonist of the last cover of the well-known North American magazine ‘’Rolling Stone’’.

She is interviewed and among other things, she confesses she likes to be punched and tied up in bed. She says she likes to feel submissive and weak when it comes to sexual preferences. These declarations turn into very polemical affirmations if we take into account that she was sexually abused about two years ago by her exboyfriend, the singer Chris Brown.

She explains that when she was a child her father was alcoholic and drug addict and she suffered mistreatment. She believes that is a common issue among people who were battered in their childhood to be attracted by sadomasochist or bondage practices. Another explanation that she finds out to these likings is that she daily has a lot of employees and subordinate people working for her so when she gets closer to a boy in bed she likes to feel like her lady and simply just let him dominate the situation.

I was really impressed by these public declarations; I find them coarse and inappropriate. I respect others bed preferences whenever they think they are not moral hurt by them, but one thing is to have a specific inclination and other is to proclaim it in a mean of communication which is read by two million people approximately. I think these preferences are very privet and personal to each one, I do not discuss if they are good or not but they are intimate enough to go spreading them around in a public mean.

This is the kind of news that degrade journalism profession because they only focus on the ghoulish instincts that could suggest the new and on the most shocking vices and extreme attitudes of the human being. We should harden the law which control the ethics and moral issues that constantly ignore certain news and articles.

How the famous people use the social networks: Demi and Ashton

Hey viewers! I know its been a while since you don't have any news form patianabea, but today I am going to talk how the celebrities share their lives in the net, using the social networks such as Twitter or Facebook. In order to explain this, we have selected Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, the hottest and more "twitter-addict" couple we could imagine! To make this post more realistic I used my Twitter account (remember we talked about them in the introduction?). I started following Ashton (@aplusk) and Demi (@mrskutcher), and checked out that they share all their small details of their daily life on Twitter. They are used to upload pictures taken with their phones, besides Demi has a kind of teddy which name is purse monkey, and likes to put it in every picture she uploads, with friends, situations, moments…

This style of life, of constant connection to the web, and in consequence with all the followers, viewers and fans has gone too far? I will try to answer this question. To add more information, in the last few weeks, they have been using Twitter to communicate with each other, despite being at the same house (which might be really big!). Demi started writing hello on her hand and uploading it to Twitter, dedicating it to Ashton. This went on until they decided what to cook for dinner, and ended with more spicy messages, and deciding to meet up in the bedroom…

We don’t really know if the matter is that privacy is not an important issue for them or if they just take advantage of being famous to reveal the latest detail of their daily life. What we know is that their fans love it, because Ashton has more or less 4.000.000 viewers and Demi has more than 2.000.000.
